Pioneer Road Run
The Pioneer Road Run is an athletic event held in Phoenix, Oregon, starting at Phoenix High School. This event supports the Phoenix High School Cross Country program. Participants can choose between three distinct race categories:
- 9 Mile running race
- 5K running race
- 5K wheelchair race
The course utilizes public roads and pathways. These routes remain open to regular traffic, including cars, pedestrians, and cyclists, during the event. Participants are required to use caution while navigating the open roadways.
Registration includes an entry fee, and specific items are available for early participants, such as anniversary hats for the first 200 individuals who register. On the day of the event, packet pickup and late registration are available at the high school location.
Awards are presented in the form of age division ribbons to participating runners. To maintain safety on the course, several restrictions are in place. The use of dogs, bicycles, skateboards, or skates is strictly prohibited during the races. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
