Pioneer Power Sprint Triathlon and 5K
The Pioneer Power Sprint Triathlon and 5K is held at Texas Woman's University in Denton Texas. The event offers multiple ways to compete: Individual competition, Team competition, a 3 person Relay, and a stand alone 5K open to runners and walkers. Age groups are organized in five year increments for individual competitors.
Team competition is offered in three divisions male, female, and coed. Team members each complete the full Sprint Triathlon and the three individual times are added to form a team time. Relay competition is offered in the same three divisions with each relay member completing one component of the Sprint Triathlon and combined times determining relay results. Team and relay winners receive event trophies.

- Pool swim 200 yards
- Bike 16.3 miles
- Run 3.1 miles
- 5K only event 3.1 miles
The event is USAT sanctioned. Triathlon packet pickup has specific requirements including presentation of a photo ID, adult athletes picking up their own packet, and proof of current USAT membership or purchase of a one day USAT permit. Race day packet pickup is limited to athletes living more than 20 miles from the nearest packet pickup location.
Registered participants receive a tech shirt socks and a finisher medal. A post race party includes food and drink awards giveaways and vendor booths.
