Pioneer Power Sprint Triathlon & 5K
The Pioneer Power Sprint Triathlon & 5K takes place on July 18, 2027 at Texas Woman's University, 1600 North Bell Ave, Denton TX 76209. The event will mark its 20th year and includes individual, team, and relay competitions.
Individual competitors are grouped by age in five year increments. The team competition requires each team member to complete all three triathlon components; overall team time is the sum of the three members' times and awards are given by division for male, female, and coed teams. The 3 person relay has three divisions and each relay member completes one component; combined times determine relay results. The 5K is open to runners and walkers and offers overall and age group awards.
Distances for the sprint triathlon and 5K are:
- 200 yards pool swim
- 10.1 miles bike
- 3.1 miles run
- 3.1 miles 5K only event
Registration fees listed by event include $65.00 for individual sprint entries, $165.00 for team or relay entries, and $24.00 for the 5K. Dallas Athletes Racing will produce the event. Competitors receive a tech shirt, socks, and a finisher's medal. The post race gathering will include free food and drink including pancakes, awards, giveaways, and vendor booths.
