Event overview
The Pink & Blue 5K Run & Walk is the second annual event hosted by the Greater North Central Florida Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. It is scheduled for February 2026 at Depot Park in Gainesville, FL. The event was established in 2025 and the organizers anticipate over 100 participants. Proceeds support local causes; the 2025 event raised approximately $6,000, which was donated in part to Ronald McDonald House Charities of North Central Florida. The 2026 fundraising goal is $15,000.
Events and entry
- 5K Run & Walk - in person at Depot Park.
- Virtual 5K Run & Walk - complete the distance remotely before the event date.
- Children's Fun Run - for children ages 10 and under; no registration fee.
In-person and virtual entries have a listed registration fee of $35. The Children's Fun Run is free, but children must secure sponsors for each 0.25K they run or walk. Sponsorships should be documented and contributions submitted after the event.
Fundraising and logistics
The 2026 event targets youth literacy and mentorship through the non-profit Kut Different. Donations requiring tax deductions can be made via the GiveEffect online platform or by check to Jack and Jill of America Foundation, mailed to GNCFC Jack and Jill of America, Inc.; P.O.
