About the Event

The Dream Team 5K is a retro gaming-themed fundraising event. All proceeds benefit UF Dream Team, a student-run nonprofit organization. The group supports children in the Pediatric Cardiac ICU and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at UF Health Shands Children's Hospital through various activities and initiatives.

Event Format

Participants can choose from several event options:

A timed 5K run.
A 1.5-mile walk.
A kids' fun run.

A costume contest is also part of the event, with prizes for the best costumes. Awards are given to the fastest runners. Post-event activities include carnival games, food, and live music.

Registration and Fees

Registration on race day begins at 8:00 AM. The general entry fee is $25 per person. Children aged 10 and under can participate for free.
