Pikes Peak Road Runners Fall Series
The Fall Series is four trail races held in four different city and county parks. Trails range from well maintained to rocky with tree roots and include single-track sections. Distances increase as the series progresses.
- 3.8 miles - Bear Creek Terrace
- 4.0 miles - North Monument Valley Park
- 5.5 miles - Piñon Valley Park and Ute Valley Park
- 7.4 miles - Palmer Park
Race courses include grass-field starts, regional and single-track trails, short climbs, and rocky, hilly sections. Race 3 includes rocky single-track terrain and a warning about snakes. Courses may vary slightly based on trail conditions. The event is chip timed and all scoring is based on chip time. Early starts are possible by arrangement but any unofficial start time will not be recognized for awards.
Entrants must be 15 years or older. The organizer prohibits animals, baby joggers or strollers, earbuds or headphones, and bikes or trikes and will disqualify violations. Awards are available only to participants who complete all four races; awards include top five overall male and female and age-group awards (top three in five-year increments). There are no awards for individual races and no cash prizes.
Registration is online only and closes at 5:00pm the day before each race; there is no race-day registration. A commemorative unisex short sleeve shirt is available for an additional fee of $17.00 plus tax. The series has been held since 1979.
