Course and logistics
All races start and finish at Bear Creek Regional Park. The 50k begins at Bear Creek Regional Park, climbs historic High Drive, continues on Gold Camp Road, and turns around at the Gold Camp and Old Stage Road intersection. The 50k elevation range is listed as 6,175′ to 9,090′ with about 5,500′ of gain. The Half Marathon gains about 2,847′ and traverses High Drive. The 10k uses lower-elevation sections, is 100% dirt trail, and has slight technical footing.
Aid stations are placed along each course; some are crew accessible and some accept drop bags (Cheyenne Cañon listed for drop bags). Aid station supplies include Tailwind, Muir Energy gels, snacks, fruit and soda; Cheyenne Cañon will offer warm food options. Bear Creek Regional Park has parking with attendants and signage directing vehicles to the northwest parking area. Crew access notes warn that Old Stage Road can be narrow and washboarded; 4WD is recommended. Travel times from nearby airports are provided in the event information.
