Colorado Cold Rush Ultra
The event on November 21, 2026 takes place in Colorado Springs, Colorado and offers multiple trail distances:
- 50k, out and back from Bear Creek Regional Park
- Half Marathon, out and back over historic High Drive
- 10k, lower elevation sections on 100% dirt trail
The 50k route begins at Bear Creek Regional Park, climbs historic High Drive, continues on Gold Camp Road, and turns around where Gold Camp meets Old Stage Road. The 50k elevation range is 6,175′ to 9,090′ and the course lists an overall elevation gain of about 5,500′. The Half Marathon is an out and back that goes up and over the top of historic High Drive with an elevation gain of 2,847′. The 10k uses lower elevation sections, with slight technical footing near the out and back.
Aid stations are well stocked with Tailwind, Muir Energy Gels, sweet and salty snacks, fruit, and soda. The Cheyenne Canon aid station will offer warm cooked choices such as bacon, quesadillas, and potatoes. Several aid stations are crew accessible and some allow drop bags; Gold Stage access can be narrow and washboarded and 4WD is recommended in winter conditions.
Registrations close November 17, 2026 and include a gender specific race shirt, BOCO Performance beanie, personalized bib and finishers award, stocked aid stations, and a post race meal. Bear Creek Regional Park has ample parking and staff will direct vehicles. The nearest airport is Colorado Springs Municipal Airport, about a 20 minute drive, while Denver International is about a 90 minute drive.
