Colorado Cold Rush Ultra
The Colorado Cold Rush Ultra takes place in Colorado Springs on November 21, 2026, and offers three race distances:
- 50k
- Half Marathon
- 10k
The 50k is an out-and-back course that begins at Bear Creek Regional Park, climbs historic High Drive, then continues on Gold Camp Road to a turnaround at the intersection of Gold Camp Road and Old Stage Road. The course covers an elevation range of 6,175′ to 9,090′ and lists an overall elevation gain near 5,500′.
The Half Marathon is an out-and-back that goes up and over the top of historic High Drive, with an elevation gain reported at 2,847′. The 10k uses lower elevation sections of the main course, runs on 100% dirt trail and has slight technical footing toward the out-and-back section; its listed elevation gain is 912′.
All aid stations are described as well stocked with Tailwind, Muir Energy Gels, sweet and salty snacks, fruit and soda. The Cheyenne Canon aid station additionally offers warm food options such as bacon, quesadillas and potatoes.
Pack pickup is available at the Colorado Running Company (5262 N. Nevada Ave, #140) and at Bear Creek Regional Park under the largest pavilion. Bear Creek Regional Park has ample parking and signage directing vehicles to the northwest section of the lot. Crew access notes identify North Cheyenne Canon as reachable by low clearance and 2WD, and describe Gold Stage access via a winding, narrow washboarded road with a high probability of snow and 4WD recommended.
