Piggys 5K Walk-Run
Piggys 5K Walk-Run takes place in Waltham, Massachusetts, with the event center and post-race activities at City Streets, 411 Waverley Oaks Rd. The race distance is 3.1 miles (5K) on a paved course that includes some inclines. Strollers and baby joggers are allowed. For safety, skateboards, roller blades, bicycles, and animals are not permitted on the course.
Chip timing is provided by Yankee Timing. Awards will be presented to the top male and top female finishers in the 5K. The post-race gathering at City Streets includes a food buffet, raffles and door prizes, music, and an evening DJ. The first 100 registrants receive a free t-shirt.
Online registration closes on Friday, November 20 at midnight; walk-in registration is available during bib pick-up hours and on race day. Early bib pick-up is scheduled at City Streets on Friday, November 20 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm and on race day during the bib pick-up window. Parking is available in the lot next to City Streets behind the medical building.
The event raises funds for a local charitable fund and is organized in memory of a community member. Runners and walkers are both listed as participants for the course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
