DAV 5K Boston

The DAV 5K Boston takes place at DCR Fort Independence at Castle Island in South Boston. This event marks its 11th year and is held during Veterans Day weekend. The course is described as being flat and fast. Participants can choose to run, walk, or roll to show support for local Massachusetts veterans and raise awareness for the issues faced by ill and injured service members.

The event is organized to be family-friendly and is held in cooperation with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, DCR, State Police, and the City of Boston. Several registration options are available, including specific categories for veterans. Veterans may access complimentary entry, with separate options for receiving a runner shirt.

For those receiving race kits, all items will be shipped directly to participants this year, which includes a shipping fee added to the order. After the event, participants can attend a post-race gathering in South Boston.
