Piedmont 8 Hour
The Piedmont 8 Hour is a looped trail event held at Powhatan State Park in Powhatan, VA. The course uses a roughly 2.7 mile loop with about 60 feet of elevation change per lap. The route crosses open meadows and pine forest and offers varied views of fall foliage. Most of the trail is double track with one or two short hills and generally few roots or rocks.

Aid is available at the start line on each lap and typically includes gummy candies, chips, water, Tailwind, and some pop. The event is cupless; participants must bring their own cup. Boxed lunches from the Cafe at Maidens can be ordered as an add on for pickup after 11:30 PM. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers and all participants receive finisher awards. The event does not offer refunds. A discount is available for law enforcement, fire, medical, education, military, and veterans using the code Thanks. Group options include a refer three get a free entry offer and a 20 percent discount for groups of five or more who contact the organizer.
