Pi in the Sky is a FAT ASS style trail event in Phoenix, AZ. The course is an out-and-back of 8 miles that begins at the Hope Bible Church parking lot and finishes back at the church. The route crosses the 51 Freeway onto the Dreamy Draw Bikeway and passes through the Phoenix Mountain Preserves, including the Piestewa Peak summit. The event is limited to 50 runners and has no entry fee. Registration closes on Mon, Jun 1 at 11:59 PM MT.
Course, aid and logistics
The course will be partially marked at critical junctions and Garmin coordinates will be available. Trails are rocky and often technical, with limited shade; participants should plan for warm conditions in early June. Aid is minimal. A water fountain and restroom are available at the Dreamy Draw Trailhead, but participants are responsible for their own well-being. Timing will be done manually.
