Event overview
The 8th Annual PTSD Awareness 5K Run/Walk takes place on Saturday, June 6, 2026, in Peoria, Arizona. The event raises funds for the First Responder PTS Foundation (501c3). Proceeds will support ancillary services for mental health treatment and education for first responders related to PTSD, stress, and trauma. The event will introduce a running chair to allow disabled individuals to participate.

Location and logistics
The venue is Copper Hills Church, 27035 N Black Rock Blvd, Peoria, AZ 85383. Registration price is listed at $40; the price increases after December 2, 2025 at 11:59pm MST. To guarantee a t-shirt and chosen size participants must register by May 4. Pre-race packet pickup is Friday, June 5, 3:00pm-6:00pm at 34406 N 27th Dr, Bldg 7, Suite 173, Phoenix, AZ 85085 (use back entrance). Race day packet pickup is Saturday, June 6, 6:00am-7:00am. Race results and event photos will be published after the event.
Awards, amenities and volunteers
Awards will be given to the top male and female finisher in these age categories: 0-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+. Participants receive a t-shirt, a limited edition finisher challenge coin, on-course and post-race refreshments (water and coffee provided by Well Coffee Co.), and a goody bag. Volunteers receive a free t-shirt; typical roles include packet pickup, set up/take down, water station, route guides, and cheering.
Cancellation and entry policy
Entry fees are nonrefundable and nontransferable. The race may be delayed, changed, or canceled for inclement weather or safety concerns.
