40th Annual Phoenixville Run
The Phoenixville Run returns for its 40th anniversary, offering a variety of participation options in Reeves Park. This hybrid event includes traditional road races as well as a virtual component, allowing for diverse movement goals. The in-person races are chip-timed by Run The Day and follow a route starting at the park bandstand.
Participants can choose from several distances and formats:
- 5 km (in-person)
- 10 km (in-person)
- Kids Fun Run (children 12 and under)
- Virtual Challenge (various physical activities)
The in-person 5 km and 10 km races are open to individual runners and teams. Participants are permitted to run with their dogs. A total of $1,100 in cash prizes is available for the top three overall male and female winners. Awards also cover specific age groups ranging from 0-14 through 70-over, including masters categories for those over 40. Long-sleeved t-shirts and bibs are provided to all participants, with pre-race pickup available at the Citizen Advocacy Office or on the morning of the event.
The event also features a costume component, with prizes awarded for both individual and group outfits. For younger participants, the Kids Fun Run involves a course around the park with stations offering prizes. The virtual challenge option allows participants to select their own physical activity, such as swimming, hiking, or cycling, and submit their results for prize eligibility.
