Phoenix West Sussex Festival of Running

The Phoenix West Sussex Festival of Running is a multi-format endurance event held at Blackland Farm in East Grinstead. The event takes place over a weekend and features several race options centered around a 1 mile lap. Participants navigate a course that is entirely off-road, consisting of a mix of grass and compact trail. The route is undulating and includes a section through a woodland area and a grass alley with expansive views.

Participants can choose from a range of endurance challenges:

  • 24-Hour Solo or 12-Hour Solo
  • 24-Hour Team Relay for teams of up to 4 people
  • 24-Hour Team Relay for teams of 4 to 8 people
  • P24 Challenge involving one mile on the hour every hour for 24 hours
  • P12 Challenge involving one mile on the hour every hour for 12 hours

The venue serves as a central hub for the event, with the start and finish lines located in the main camping field. The entry fee includes a pitch for runners to set up their own tents, allowing participants and teams to stay on-site throughout the duration of the 12 or 24-hour periods. There is also an option to upgrade to pre-pitched bell tents.

All participants receive a bespoke finisher's medal marking their achievement. The event adheres to UK Athletics rules regarding distance restrictions for participants aged 20 or under. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
