Brighton & Hove Rainbow Run 2026
The Brighton & Hove Rainbow Run is an evening, chip timed 5k held on park pathways in Hove Park, Brighton. The course is described as flat and route maps (including GPX files) are available. The event takes place on 31 July 2026 on the evening before the Brighton & Hove Pride Parade.
The event is organised by Brighton & Hove FrontRunners, a not-for-profit local community running club of LGBTQ+ runners and allies. Participants must be aged 14 or over. For insurance reasons no dogs or buggies are allowed.
The race supports MindOut, an LGBTQ+ mental health charity; 100% of merchandise profits are earmarked for MindOut. Current merchandise designs are described as hand drawn and printed with vegan ink; t-shirts can be posted or collected on the day. Pre-purchased raffle tickets are included with race number collection and prizes listed include drinks packages, local gin, artwork, holiday vouchers and a one-night stay at The Brighton Grand Hotel.
On-the-day entry is listed as £22 for the 5k (subject to availability). The event provides a bespoke medal, a goodie bag, trophies and prizes for leading runners in male, female and non-binary categories, and free photos. The event highlights a festival atmosphere with a steel band, non-alcoholic drinks stand and snack bar, and offers inclusive provisions such as sign language, wheelchair access and accommodations for blind participants.
