Brighton & Hove Rainbow Run 2026
The Brighton & Hove Rainbow Run is a summer evening chip timed 5k held on 31 July 2026 at Hove Park, Goldstone Crescent, Brighton and Hove. The route runs on park pathways and is described as flat. The event takes place on the evening before the Brighton & Hove Pride Parade and is open to participants aged 14 and over.
The race is organised by Brighton & Hove FrontRunners, a not-for-profit local community running club made up of LGBTQ+ runners and allies. The event supports MindOut, an LGBTQ+ mental health charity that provides peer-led and inclusive services. Merchandise for the event features hand-drawn designs printed with vegan ink, with 100% of profits from the items donated to MindOut.
Event features include a festival atmosphere with a steel band, non-alcoholic beer and soft drinks, a snack bar, raffle prizes and some mystery guests. The event offers accessibility measures including sign language, wheelchair friendly arrangements and accommodation for blind participants. Fancy dress is encouraged and prizes are awarded for standout costumes.
Entrants receive a bespoke medal, a goodie bag, free photos and trophies or prizes for leading runners in male, female and non-binary categories. Pre-purchased raffle tickets are included with race number envelopes on race day. Dogs and buggies are not permitted for insurance reasons.
