Brighton & Hove Rainbow Run 2026 : event summary
The Brighton & Hove Rainbow Run is a chip timed 5k held in Hove Park, Goldstone Crescent, Brighton and Hove BN3 6BG on 31 July 2026. The route runs mainly on park pathways and is described as flat. The race is open to participants aged 14 and over; for insurance reasons dogs and buggies are not permitted. The start and finish are close to the park café.
The event is organised by the not for profit Brighton & Hove FrontRunners, a local community running club of LGBTQ+ runners and allies. The race supports MindOut, an LGBTQ+ mental health charity, and 100 percent of profits from this year’s hand drawn, vegan ink printed merchandise will go to that charity. Each year the event issues a different colour medal; the medal for 2026 is yellow. Entry benefits include a bespoke medal, a goodie bag, trophies and prizes for leading runners in male, female and non binary categories, and free photos. The event aims to be inclusive with provisions such as sign language, wheelchair access and accommodation for blind participants. Additional onsite features listed for race day include a steel band, non alcoholic drinks, a snack bar, raffle prizes and encouragement of fancy dress with prizes for standout costumes. Event information is sent to registered entrants prior to race day and refunds or deferrals are not available. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
