Course and race features
Races use part of the Vanguard Way route. The Vanguard Way is 66 miles (107 km) long and passes from the southern outskirts of Greater London through Surrey, Kent and East Sussex. Described features along the route include parkland, woodland, open country, Selsdon Wood Nature Reserve, historic houses at Coombe, the church of St. Mary the Virgin at Farleigh, the North Downs (highest point 260 metres / 853 feet), the Nore Hill Chalk Pinnacle, a crossing of the Greenwich Meridian with a commemorative plaque, Titsey Place, a footbridge over the M25, the Greensand Ridge and views from the edge of Limpsfield.
