Vanguard Way Marathon + Half - 02 August 2026
The Vanguard Way Marathon + Half is organised by 1 Mile Events (Vanguard Way) and takes place at Coombe Rd, Croydon, CR0 5RA. The event is UK Athletics affiliated. Entry prices are shown in the range of £43.00 to £45.00. Entrants must be aged between 18 and 99 on 02/08/2026. The organisers state that refunds are not offered, though an entry may be held for a future event at the directors' discretion if the event is at least five weeks away. Course and facilities
Races run along part of the Vanguard Way route. Distances offered:
- 26.2 miles (42.2 km) - Full marathon (out 13.1 miles and back 13.1 miles)
- 13.1 miles (21.1 km) - Half marathon
The Vanguard Way national trail is 66 miles (107 km) long and passes through the counties of Surrey, Kent and East Sussex, starting on the southern outskirts of Greater London. The event route includes parkland, woodland and open country, passing Selsdon Wood Nature Reserve, the Nore Hill Chalk Pinnacle, the Greenwich Meridian, and views from the Greensand Ridge near Limpsfield.
