Event overview
Phoenix Running South Wales will hold the Frozen Phoenix event at Barry Sidings Country Park, Pontypridd, on Sunday 28 December 2025. The event uses a 5.3 km (3.28 mile) out-and-back lap along the Taff Trail. Minimum distance is one lap (3.28 miles). There is a 7-hour time limit for the event. A medal pick n mix will allow participants to collect medals from previous events, subject to availability.

Course and format
The route is entirely on tarmac or pavement and has about 50 m elevation gain and loss per lap. The lap passes the aid station, Barry Sidings Café, lakes, and turnaround points at each end. Entrants may complete as many laps as they choose within the 7-hour limit. The organiser operates a "rock up and run" system with a one-hour start window and staggered starts.

Entry fees are listed as £33 (affiliated), £35 (unaffiliated), with a no-medal entry option at £20. The event is classed as a Road course and has a certificate of course accuracy from AUKCM. The organiser provides an aid station, same-day results, athlete profiles, digital BIBs, and digital finishers certificates.
