Event Overview
The Phoenix Running South Wales - Prosecco Run takes place on Sunday, 12 July 2026 at Barry Sidings Country Park in Pontypridd. It is a timed running event with a 7-hour limit where participants can complete as many, or as few, laps as they choose. The event is open to runners and walkers.
Course Information
Participants run a 5.3km (3.28 mile) out-and-back course along the Taff Trail. The course is entirely on tarmac or pavement and includes 50m of elevation gain or loss per lap. The route starts near the Barry Sidings Cafe, heads towards Pontypridd before turning around, and passes the aid station, cafe, and lakes on the way to the Trehafod turnaround point.
Entry Options and Event Details
Entry options include a standard entry with a bespoke finisher's medal, as well as a lower-cost 'no medal' entry option. Participants can pick up medals from previous Phoenix events, subject to availability. The event operates with flexible 'rock up and run' start times within the 7-hour window.
