Port Talbot Harriers stage the GV70.tri middle distance triathlon in Port Talbot. The course comprises a two-lap sea swim, a two-lap bike course and a flat three-lap run. There is a relay option and participants may choose how much of the course to complete, as the event will record no DNFs. Cut off times are: swim 1 hour 10 minutes, swim and bike 5 hours, finish 7 hours 45 minutes. All profits will be donated to local charities and good causes in Neath Port Talbot.
The Teleri Mia Mini Mile is a charity children’s event supporting families affected by the loss of a child. Entry is £10 plus a booking fee per child and all proceeds go to the Teleri Mia Foundation. Very small T-shirts may be difficult to source but every child will receive something from the foundation.
- Dinas: 200 m for children up to 7 years, adult accompaniment required.
- Foel: 800 m, one lap at Little Warren, ages 7 to 9, adult accompaniment.
- Afan: two laps of Little Warren playing fields, ages 10 to 11.
Aberavon Surf Lifesaving Club Junior Aquathlon uses a beach start, a sheltered open water swim with a raised pier for spectators and a flat coastal run.
- TriStar 2/3 (ages 11–14): 300 m swim then 1200 m run.
- Youth A/B and Junior (ages 15–19): 600 m swim then 2000 m run.
The aquathlon and mini mile run alongside the GV70.tri. Parking (free and paid), toilet facilities and refreshments are available nearby. Entry prices shown include individual entry at £85 and relay entry at £115 with listed race pass charges for non home-nation members. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
