Phoenix Running West Sussex - Not the London Marathon
Phoenix Running West Sussex stages a timed, lap based event at Tilgate Park in Crawley, West Sussex. The course uses a 5.3 km (3.28 mile) out and back lap on compact off road trail. Participants can complete as many or as few laps as they wish within a seven hour time limit.
Distances available cover a range from shorter distances through to ultra distances. The minimum distance is one lap, about 3.1 miles (5 km). Start times are flexible with a staggered, rock up and run format; special start time requests can be accommodated depending on planned distance.
There are two entry price options listed: a medal entry priced at £39.95 and a no medal entry priced at £22.00. Both options include event support such as an aid station, timing and same day results, athlete profiles, Phoenix World features, digital BIBs and digital finishers certificates. The event is presented as an alternative for runners who did not secure a London Marathon place and is one of two events run by Phoenix Running across the London Marathon weekend.
