Remembrance Day Marathon & Half Marathon
Held on 8 November 2026, this is the 10th edition of the Remembrance Day Marathon & Half Marathon at Xcel SPORTS HUB Stadium, Waterside Drive, Walton on Thames, Surrey KT12 2JG.
Distances:
- Full marathon via four out and back laps
- Half marathon via two out and back laps
The course is off road on a riverside towpath. The overall route has no elevation gain or loss, making it flat throughout.
The event is built around a race freeze at 11.00 when all runners pause for a two minute silence; racing resumes at 11.02 after three horn blasts. The entry process asks participants to choose either the marathon or the half marathon.
Entry fees are the same for both distances: £37.95 for affiliated runners and £39.95 for unaffiliated runners. All participants, attended and virtual, receive a physical medal or memento. Additional items are provided for the first 100 entries. Places are strictly limited and the event has sold out in previous years.
