Event overview
The Remembrance Day Marathon & Half Marathon takes place on Sunday 8 November 2026 at Xcel SPORTS HUB Stadium, Waterside Drive, Walton on Thames, Surrey. The event offers two distances:
- Marathon
- Half marathon
All participants receive a physical medal or memento. Both attended and virtual entries are available, and the entry fee is the same for both distances. Additional items are provided for the first 100 entries. The organiser notes the event has sold out in previous years and places are limited.
Course and format
The route is off-road on a riverside towpath and is run as out-and-back laps. Four out-and-back laps equal the full marathon distance and two laps make up the half marathon. The overall course has no elevation gain or loss.
A central feature of the event is a planned two-minute silence at 11:00, observed by all runners, after which the race resumes at 11:02. The silence is described as the primary element around which the event is organised.

Prices listed for the event include separate rates for affiliated and unaffiliated entrants.
