Phoenix Remembrance Day Marathon and Half Marathon
The Phoenix Remembrance Day Marathon and Half Marathon is scheduled for Sunday 8 November 2026 at Xcel SPORTS HUB Stadium, Waterside Drive, Walton on Thames, Surrey. The event is the tenth edition and offers both marathon and half marathon options.
The course is off road on a riverside towpath. The routes use out and back laps: four out and back laps equal the full marathon distance and two out and back laps make the half marathon distance. The overall course has no elevation gain or loss.
A central feature of the event is a planned race freeze at 11:00 for a two minute silence. Runners pause at the sound of a horn and resume when the horn sequence concludes. Members of the public and other river users have participated in this silence in previous years.
Entry details note that the entry fee is the same for both distances and entrants select marathon or half marathon during registration. Fees listed are £37.95 affiliated and £39.95 unaffiliated. The first 100 entries in 2026 will receive additional items and places are limited; at the time of this listing there are 50 places remaining. Transfer and deferral requests must be made by email prior to midnight on Wednesday 14 October 2026 and no changes can be made after that deadline.
