A central feature of this event is a scheduled two-minute silence at 11:00am. At the sound of a horn, all runners stop to observe the silence. The race resumes precisely at 11:02am following three horn blasts. The organizers describe this moment as the "very heart and soul" of the event.
Practical Information
The event is based at the Xcel Sports Hub Stadium in Walton on Thames, Surrey. Entry fees are the same for both distances. Participants receive a medal described as "epic." The organizers note that the event has sold out in advance in previous years and places are strictly limited.
