Event overview
Phoenix Running will hold the Remembrance Day Marathon & Half Marathon on Sunday 8 November 2026 at Xcel SPORTS HUB Stadium, Waterside Drive, Walton on Thames, Surrey KT12 2JG. The event offers two distances:
- Marathon
- Half Marathon
Entry fees are listed as £37.95 for affiliated runners and £39.95 for unaffiliated runners. The entry fee is the same for both distances and entrants choose marathon or half marathon during entry. All participants, including virtual runners, receive a physical medal or memento. The organiser notes that places have sold out in previous years and that additional items will be provided for the first 100 entries.
Course and format
The course is off road on a riverside towpath and uses out-and-back laps: four laps for the full marathon and two laps for the half marathon. The overall course is described as having no elevation gain or loss. The event features a formal two-minute silence at 11:00am, enforced by a horn blast to start the silence and three horn blasts at 11:02am to resume the race; this pause is an integral part of the event.
