Event overview
The Remembrance Day Marathon & Half Marathon takes place on Sunday 8 November 2026 in Walton on Thames, Surrey. The event is the 10th edition and offers both marathon and half marathon distances. Entry places are limited and the event has sold out in previous years. Entry fees are listed as £37.95 for affiliated runners and £39.95 for unaffiliated runners. The entry fee is the same for both distances and entrants select marathon or half marathon during the entry process.

Course and format
The route is off-road on a riverside towpath. The full marathon is four out-and-back laps and the half marathon is two out-and-back laps. The overall course has no elevation gain or loss.
A central feature of the event is a formal two minute silence at 11.00am when all runners stop; the race then resumes after the silence with a series of horn blasts. This pause is described as the core element of the event.
Other information
