Event Overview
The Phil Phest 5k is a running event scheduled for Saturday, March 28, 2026. It is the fourth annual edition of this event. The race benefits the Running for Dreams Foundation, which supports children who have lost a parent to cancer.
Race Details
The event features two race distances:
- 5k Run: A chip-timed, out-and-back course measuring 3.1 miles.
- Kids K: A race for children aged 0-8 years.
A standard registration for the 5k includes a chip-timed race, a numbered bib, a custom unisex event t-shirt, and a finisher medal. A t-shirt is not guaranteed for registrations completed on race day. All Kids K participants receive a finisher medal.
Post-Race and Awards
After the race, a post-race festival will be held in the parking lot of St. Rita's Catholic Church. It will feature live music and food. An awards ceremony is scheduled for 7:00 PM. Awards will be given to the overall top male and female finishers, as well as the top two male and female finishers in standard age group divisions.
Logistics
Packet pickup is available on Friday, March 27, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at LA Pharmacy in Jefferson, LA. Race day registration and packet pickup are also available before the event starts. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
