Event Overview
The Phil Phest 5k is a fundraising event taking place on March 28, 2026. All proceeds benefit the Running for Dreams Foundation, which supports children who have lost a parent to cancer.
Distances
The event offers two race options:
- 5k Run: A chip-timed out-and-back course covering 3.1 miles.
- Kids K: A short run for children aged 0-8, where all participants receive a medal.
What's Included
Registration for the 5k Run includes a chip-timed race, a numbered bib, a custom unisex event t-shirt (not guaranteed for race day registration), and a finisher medal.
Schedule & Details
Packet pickup is available on Friday, March 27, 2026, from 2 PM to 6 PM at LA Pharmacy in Jefferson, Louisiana. On race day, registration and packet pickup are open from 4:30 PM to 5:45 PM. The Kids K starts at 6:00 PM, followed by the 5k Run/Walk at 6:15 PM.
Awards & Post-Race Festivities
Awards are presented at 7:00 PM during the post-race festival. Awards are given to the overall top male and female finishers, and to the top two male and female finishers in each age group (18 & under, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+).
