About the race
Phil Phest 5k is the fifth annual running event held on March 20, 2027, at 98 Fortier Lane in Harahan, Louisiana. The event benefits the Running For Dreams Foundation and directs all proceeds to the foundation.
The event offers multiple participation options:
- 5K Run : out and back, 3.1 miles
- Kids K : for ages 0 to 8, all participants receive a finisher medal
A separate phestival ticket is available for the post-race party; it includes burgers, jambalaya, beer and drinks and donates 100% of proceeds to the Running For Dreams Foundation.
Race registration includes a chip-timed race, a numbered bib, a custom unisex event t-shirt, and a finisher medal. The event notes that t-shirts are not guaranteed for race day registration.
The post-race festivities take place on the grounds of the Colonial Club and feature live music by Refried Confuzion and food and drinks provided by Fortune Fish, Inland Seafood, Southern Eagle, and Coca-Cola. Awards are presented during the post-race festivities and include overall top male and top female, plus the top two male and female in each age group: under 18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80 and over.
