Peyton's Wild and Wacky 10x5K : March 14, 2026
Peyton's Wild and Wacky 10x5K in Mount Pleasant, SC, is a combined trail event on the Laurel Hill Trail at 1400 North Highway 41. The event offers the following distances:
- 50K (run as a 10x5K format)
- 50K 2 person relay
- 50K 5 person relay
- 5K
The 50K is a sequence of ten 5K laps. The 5K uses the same route as the 50K participants and occurs during the event day.
Format, entry limits and logistics
Solo and relay runners must complete each 5K lap within one hour. Relay teams share one bib, must be full at registration, and may choose any running order while completing all ten laps. The event is capped by category: 50K solo at 100, 5K at 50, 2-person relay up to 75 teams, 5-person relay up to 60 teams, and a total limit of 600 entries.
Registration opens September 10, 2025 and closes February 14, 2026. Runners must register by February 1, 2026 to be guaranteed an event shirt and bag. There is no race day registration. The event runs rain or shine; refunds, deferrals, and bib transfers are not allowed. Expect trail conditions that may include mud; the trail is not stroller friendly. Dogs are allowed in the park but not on the trail due to insurance rules.
All proceeds are donated to Injured Marines Semper Fi Fund, Mount Pleasant Track Club, and Mount Pleasant Academy. Participants receive event swag, hats for 10x5K entrants, and finisher medals.
