Peyton's Wild and Wacky Ultra
Peyton's Wild and Wacky is an annual trail running event held on the Laurel Hill Trail in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. The event for 2027 takes place on March 13, 2027 and combines an ultra format with a single 5K on the same route.
The event offers the following distances:
- 50K: 10x5K format, run solo or as a relay team of 2 or 5.
- 5K: single 5K held during the ultra.
Solo and relay runners must complete each 5K loop within one hour. Relay teams must register as full teams and follow race bib procedures so only one team bib is on the course at a time. Fields are capped: 5K 100 participants, 50K solo 100 runners, 2 person relay capped at 150 participants, 5 person relay capped at 325 participants. All solo and relay 50K registrants receive a RUN4P trucker hat and all participants receive event swag. Finishers receive medals and the event includes awards, food options, coffee and Kona Ice on site.
Registration opens at noon on September 10, 2026 and there is no race day registration. Participants must register by February 1, 2027 to be guaranteed an event shirt and bag. The event is rain or shine except in cases of flooding or lightning and refunds or bib transfers are not permitted. Dogs are allowed in the park but not on the trail, and the trail is not stroller friendly. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
