About the race
PetFest 5K Run/Fun Walk takes place at Delco Park in Kettering, OH on October 10, 2026. The event benefits the Miami Valley Pet Therapy Association and welcomes pets to participate alongside people.
Two event options are offered:
- 5K : timed, three laps
- Wag Walk : untimed, one lap
Registration is online only. Entry fees are tiered by registration date, with an earlier deadline that guarantees a shirt and later periods where a shirt is not guaranteed. A shirt-only option is available through the earlier registration deadline with single and two-shirt pricing. Transfers to another participant are permitted up to the earlier registration deadline. There are no refunds and race items will not be mailed.
Awards are listed as TBD. A community festival follows the running events with activities such as a K-9 police demonstration, pet costume and pet tricks contests, K-9 obedience and tricks, basket raffles, food and merchandise vendors, pet-oriented booths, children’s activities, a blessing of the animals, a pet therapy area, and a 50-50 raffle.
