Peterborough Running Festival
The Peterborough Running Festival takes place at Nene Park, located a few miles from the city centre. This green space features meadows, lakes, and woodland trails. The race course consists of a 5 km loop on hard-standing paths. The terrain is flat, which assists participants looking to achieve personal best times.
Participants can choose from three main distances:
- 5 km
- 10 km
- Half Marathon
The event includes an event village with various food and drink options. An organized team of marshals is positioned along the route to guide runners toward the finish line. Each participant receives a unique themed medal and post-race goodies upon completing their distance. Results are recorded using chip timing, and official race photos are provided to participants for free after the event.
The venue at Ham Lane offers a natural environment for the competition, utilizing the park's network of paths. The event is organized with a focus on sustainability and provides a well-serviced central area for runners and visitors. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
