The Pete Shields Ilkley 10K is a fast, flat 10 km road race held on closed roads in Ilkley, West Yorkshire. The course is an out and back layout completed over two laps with minimal climbing. The event carries an England Athletics licence (31130) and is not suitable for wheelchairs. Race headquarters are at Ilkley Rugby Club, 2 Denton Road LS29 0AA, with the start on the road adjacent to the warm up field next to the club.
Entries are limited to 600 places and runners must be aged 15 or over. Entry fees are shown as affiliated £18.00 and unaffiliated £20.00, with on the day entry available for an additional £3.00 if places remain. Places may be transferred free of charge until 23/05/2026. Headphones and similar devices are not permitted on the two lap course except for bone conducting headphones or when medically prescribed. Facilities at the race include water, distance markers, toilets and changing areas; there are no showers or baggage storage. Ample free parking is available on West Holmes Field, approximately three to four minutes walk from race headquarters. All profits from the race are donated to Marie Curie Cancer Care; in 2025 the organisers handed over £2,200. Course records stand at 30:34 for men and 34:42 for women.
