Event Information
The Pete Shields Ilkley 10k is a 10 km road race held in Ilkley, West Yorkshire. It is organized by Ilkley Harriers and serves as a tribute to club member and coach Pete Shields. All race profits are donated to Marie Curie Cancer Care.
Race Course
The course is described as a fast and flat route. It consists of a two-lap, out-and-back circuit on fully closed roads. Due to the two-lap format, the use of headphones or similar audio devices is not permitted, except for bone-conducting headphones or those prescribed for medical reasons.
Participation & Logistics
The race start is on the road next to the warm-up field by Ilkley Rugby Club, which serves as the race headquarters. Ample free parking is available on West Holmes Field, a short walk from the HQ. The entry limit is 400 participants. Runners must be aged 15 or over. The course is not suitable for wheelchairs.

Entry Details
Entry fees are £16.00 for affiliated runners and £18.00 for unaffiliated runners until a specified early-bird date. After this, fees increase. Online entries close on the Friday before the race, with entry on the day possible for an additional fee if places remain.
