Danefield Relay Fell Race
The Danefield Relay is a team fell relay organised by Horsforth Fellandale that runs in the Chevin Forest and Danefield area near Otley. The event uses forest and moorland trails and is staged as a team competition rather than an individual race.
The course is approximately 3 miles with around 558 ft of ascent. The route is described as taking in the features of Chevin Forest and Danefield and uses off road paths typical of local fell terrain. Teams have completed the full course in past editions and results are recorded after the event.
The relay is run under the club organising structure and has attracted a large entry in previous years, with 135 teams recorded at one recent running.
