Event Details
The Stay Puft event is part of the Perth Trail Series. It takes place on Sunday morning at Yanchep National Park, with the start/finish area located at the Chocolate Drops Tearooms. The event features a colour-coded course system.
Course Options
Participants can choose from three course levels, each covering different distances on remote trails:
- Green Course: A distance ranging from 4-6 km, presented as suitable for walking or running with an emphasis on adventure and nature.
- Blue Course: A distance ranging from 9-12 km, described as the most popular option.
- Black Course: A distance ranging from 12-16 km, targeted at runners with prior trail event experience.
A briefing is held 10 minutes before the race starts, which all participants must attend. Course markings and information are provided by the organizers. Participants have the option to drop down to a shorter course distance on the event day.
Family and Spectators
Friends and family are welcome. Spectators can wait at the start/finish area at the Chocolate Drops Tearooms, which offers food and drink. The venue is described as having a social atmosphere.
Registration and Fees
Registration is open until the Tuesday before the event, unless sold out earlier. Ticket prices vary by course and age group. Prices listed range from $30 to $112. A $15 fee increase applies due to DBCA permit fees. Park entry is not required on arrival. Bib collection is on race day only at the start/finish area.
Age Policy
There are minimum age and experience requirements for younger participants: Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
- Green Course: Minimum age is 6. Children under 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
- Blue Course: Minimum age is 12. Participants must have completed three Green Course events and be accompanied by a parent or guardian on their first attempt.
- Black Course: Minimum age is 16. Participants must have completed three Blue Course events and be accompanied by a parent or guardian on their first attempt.
