About the race
The Perth Kilt Run is a kilted fun run held as part of the Armadale Highland Gathering at Minnawarra and Memorial Parks, Armadale. It offers short community-focused courses with a Scottish theme and family activities nearby.
Participants choose between these paved courses:
- 2.5 km Classic : wheelchair accessible
- 5 km Warrior
Dogs are permitted on the 2.5 km Classic (with dogs) course; dog entrants are asked to start at the back of the pack. Kilts are available to add during registration with set prices for children and adults, and kilts are collected at event check-in. Organisers recommend wearing shorts or bike pants under kilts.
Registrations open in August 2026 with online registration and limited on-the-day entries. Key registration dates include an early bird deadline on 14 September 2026 and an online close on 3 October 2026; last-minute in-person entries are scheduled for 4 October 2026 in limited numbers. Published entry fees (online pricing) are listed by age group and include free entry for children 0–12.
Part proceeds support nominated charities including breast cancer support, a dogs refuge, and a disability sport association. Route maps are provided for planning; the courses run on fully paved surfaces. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
