PennVet 5K
The PennVet Class of 2029 holds a community running event on May 9, 2026 at Picnic Grove (Penn Park), 3000 Walnut St, Philadelphia, PA. Proceeds will support the Class of 2029’s End of Core Event.
Distances included:
- 5K Run/Walk with chip timing and posted results
- 1 mile Mutt Strut walk for participants with dogs
Registration opens March 20, 2026 and closes May 9, 2026. Entry fees are $40 for the 5K and $20 for the Mutt Strut. 5K participants who register on or before April 11, 2026 are guaranteed a free unisex t-shirt; after that date shirts are available while supplies last. Mutt Strut participants may purchase the event shirt at a discounted price during online registration while supplies last.
The 5K will be professionally timed by Bryn Mawr Racing Co., with results posted immediately after the race. Medals will be awarded to top finishers in the following divisions: top adult male, top adult female, top youth male, top youth female, and top Mutt Strut finisher.
On-site amenities include unisex t-shirts in sizes XS to XXL, post-race refreshments such as water and coffee, and post-race food including bagels and snacks. A raffle will offer tickets for purchase with several local-donor prize baskets and items; ticket pricing is $3 for one, $6 for three, and $10 for six.
Dogs must be leashed, are not permitted on the 5K course, and must be registered to participate in the 1 mile Mutt Strut. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
