Philly Running Alliance 5k Run & 2k Walk
The Philly Running Alliance 5k Run & 2k Walk takes place in Hunting Park in Philadelphia. The event is presented in partnership with the Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia and uses a donate-what-you-wish model, with proceeds split between the two organizations. The run and walk are untimed.
The course follows loops inside Hunting Park. The listed formats are:
- 5k Run - 2.5 Hunting Park loops
- 2k Walk - 1.5 Hunting Park loops
Hunting Park will be closed to vehicles for the event; attendees should plan to arrive by walking, running, biking, transit, or nearby street parking. Meet-up and staging are on the north side of Hunting Park Avenue near the Lil' Philly Safety Village. The recreation center at the park will be available for restroom access.
There is optional bib pickup on the Friday evening before the event and additional bib pickup on race day. After the run and walk, the day continues with family-friendly activities, children's learning sessions at Lil' Philly Safety Village, exhibition bicycle races, a community ride, a kids' bike giveaway, and other on-site programming.
