Ranger Ultras PB50km Ultra

The PB50km is a low-key trail ultramarathon held on 14 March 2026, run as a single grand loop based out of the village of Hayfield in the Peak District. The route uses sections of the Pennine Bridleway, Pennine Way and Limestone Way and covers approximately 50 km with a total ascent of 1840 metres.

The course is self-navigating but follows public rights of way and official National Trail and local footpath finger posts. Navigation notes and a GPX file are provided to entered runners. Ranger Ultras Safety Team support is available at race HQ and on-course.

Refreshments are provided on course at approximately 6 km, 25 km and 40 km. At race HQ finishers can expect hot drinks, soft drinks and pizza. Finishers receive eco-medals and eco-trophies are awarded to the first male and first female and to male and female age categories 20-49 and 50+.

The event is held under a Trail Running Association permit and England Athletics competition rules. Participants must be 20 years or older on race day. A compulsory kit list is enforced at registration; required items include a race pack, waterproof jacket with hood, warm mid-layer, suitable trail footwear, a hard copy Ordnance Survey type map, a functioning head torch with spare power, whistle, emergency bivvy, sufficient food and fluids, a first aid kit and a fully charged mobile phone with a standard UK network SIM.
