PB50km Ultra (PB50)
The PB50 is a 50 km trail run on a new course introduced for 2026. The route is a grand loop based out of the historic village of Hayfield and uses sections of the Pennine Bridleway, the Pennine Way and the Limestone Way. Total ascent on the course is 1840 metres.
The event uses a flexible start time window so participants can choose when to begin. The race is self-navigating with straightforward route finding on public rights of way and official National Trail and local footpath finger posts. GPX files and navigation notes are provided to entrants, and Ranger Ultras Safety Team support is available at the event HQ and on course.
The PB50 is held under a Trail Running Association permit in accordance with England Athletics competition rules. Participants must be 20 years or older on race day. On course provisions include snacks, fruit and water; at the HQ there are hot drinks, soft drinks and pizza. Finishers receive eco-medals and trophies are awarded for first male and first female finishers, plus male and female age categories 20-49 and 50+.
