The 24th Penn State College Day 5k takes place in Dewey Beach, Delaware on July 25, 2026. The event is part #5 of the Ten Sisters of Dewey Beach Series and is based at North Beach Restaurant, 125 McKinley Street. The race benefits Dewey Beach Patrol and Rotary Club #41.
Race details
- 5 km out-and-back course, USATF certified, through residential neighborhoods.
- 5 km Competitive Walking - walkers must walk the entire distance; running and jogging are not allowed.
- Kiddie K - 1/10 mile (free for ages 8 and under; medals for all Kiddie K participants).
Timing is by chip using the MYLAPS BibTag system. Overall and masters top finisher awards are scored by gun time; all other age-group awards use chip (net) time. Awards include gift cards for top finishers and age-group awards for 9 & under through 80 & over, plus awards for top walkers and the largest team in the Ten Sisters series.
Amenities listed include gender-specific tech shirts, giveaway items, and a post-race party with food and beer for those 21 and over. Additional post-race party tickets are available. Parking is limited at Northbeach; free street parking and meters are available until 10:00 am. No dogs are allowed due to insurance liability.
