The Pendle Witches event at Salt Ayre (Lancaster & Morecambe AC Clubhouse, LA1 5JS) takes place on 1 November 2026. The event holds a UKA licence number 28545 and runs alongside the Lancaster Half Marathon in 2026. Distances offered:
- 10 km
- 1 mile fun run
The 10k has a new route for 2026, described as a fast and flat route through the Lunesdale countryside and noted as suitable for beginners and for runners aiming for a personal best. Medals are offered to finishers for both races, and the fun run is a fancy dress event with no times or positions recorded. Children aged 6 and under must run with an adult. Parents may run with small children without buying a number, but those adults are not eligible for a medal. Adults running the fancy dress fun run without a child must enter the race.
Entry, prizes and rules
Online entry fees for the 10k are: affiliated athletes £21, unaffiliated athletes £23, Lancaster Runners Club members £17. Fun run online fees are £8 for an individual or £25 for a family of four. Entries on the day are cash only and cost more: 10k affiliated £25, unaffiliated £25, Lancaster Runners Club £20; fun run individual £10, family £35. Some online portals may add a small charge. The 10k awards prizes to the first three male and first three female finishers. Medals for on-the-day entries are not guaranteed. There is a no refunds, swaps or deferrals policy.
