Pen-Y-Ghent Fell Race

The Pen-y-Ghent Fell Race, held in Horton in Ribblesdale, Yorkshire, is a challenging mountain course covering 12.2 km (7.6 miles) with 500 meters (1640 feet) of climbing. This event, categorized as an AM race, features a steep scramble to the summit of Pen-y-Ghent and follows a scenic route along the Pennine Way and 3 Peaks Path, including new sections added in 2025. The race hosts prestigious competitions such as the Inter-Counties Mountain Race and British Mountain Running Championships and serves as the English team selection for the Snowdon Race.
