The Pen-y-Ghent Fell Race, held in Horton in Ribblesdale, Yorkshire, is a challenging mountain course covering 12.2 km (7.6 miles) with 500 meters (1640 feet) of climbing. The race features a steep scramble to the summit of Pen-y-Ghent, followed by a flagged descent along the Pennine Way and 3 Peaks Path, passing through scenic points like Whitber Hill and Jackdaw Hill before returning to the playing fields. It hosts prestigious events such as the Inter-Counties Mountain Race and British Mountain Running Championships and serves as the English team selection for the Snowdon Race.
