Solstice Saunter 2026
Solstice Saunter is a 5 miles trail run taking place on 21 June 2026 at Bolton Abbey Estate, near Skipton. The event is held as a fundraising event for Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice and includes both on-site and virtual entry options. Virtual entrants run a 5 mile route of their own choice on the longest day and receive their bespoke medal by post in advance.
The course is multi-terrain and described as hilly, run as a single lap and not suitable for wheelchairs. Every participant is chip timed. Facilities listed for the event include water, distance markers and toilets; there are no changing rooms, no showers and no baggage storage. Race HQ is on a field across the river from the Cavendish Pavilions. Parking is included in the event price and entrants to the Bolton Abbey event are provided with a car parking pass.
The event lists an entry limit of 1000 and notes 853 places remaining at the time of publication. Entry categories with medals are priced at £26 for adults and £18 for under 18s; virtual entry with a medal posted out is priced at £26. The event is supported by the Ecology Building Society and Cobbydale Forge; organisers note the event is free of single use plastic bottles and that warmup provision is supplied by Cobbydale Forge.
