The Solstice Saunter takes place on 21 June 2026 at Bolton Abbey Estate, near Skipton. It is organised by Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice as a fundraising run. The event offers a physical race at Bolton Abbey and a virtual option where participants run a 5 mile route of their own choice on the same day. Every participant is chip timed. The event limit is 1,000 entries; 980 places remained at the time of listing. Entry on the day is not available.
Course, entry and facilities
The course is 5 miles, multi-terrain, hilly and run as one lap. The route is not suitable for wheelchairs. Facilities listed include water stations, distance markers and toilets. There are no changing facilities, showers or baggage store. Race headquarters are on a field across the river from the Cavendish Pavilions. Parking is included; registered entrants are sent a car parking pass and may arrive on the day from 2pm.
Entry fees (including medal where stated) are:
- Adult on-site with medal: £26.00
- Under 18 on-site with medal: £18.00
- Virtual entry with medal posted: £26.00
