Solstice Saunter 2026
The Solstice Saunter takes place on 21 June 2026 on the trails of the Bolton Abbey Estate near Skipton. It is a fundraising five mile event held in support of Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice and organised as a community run.
The course is a single lap, multi-terrain route with a hilly profile and is not suitable for wheelchairs. Every participant is chip timed. On-course facilities include water stations, distance markers and toilets. There are no changing rooms, no showers and no baggage storage at the race venue. Race headquarters is on the field across the river from the Cavendish Pavilions.
Entry options include an on-site Bolton Abbey entry and a virtual entry where participants run a five mile route of their own choice on the same day; virtual entrants receive a bespoke medal posted to them in advance. Event sponsors include the Ecology Building Society and Cobbydale Forge; the event operates without single use plastic bottles and includes a warmup provided by Cobbydale Forge.
Entry is limited to 1000 places; entry on the day is not available. Entry fees include race administration and a medal where applicable: adult on-site entry £26.00, under 18 on-site entry £18.00, virtual entry with medal posted £26.00.
