About the race
The Kettlewell Trail Half is a trail half marathon in the Yorkshire Dales, held at the Carpark Field at Hawkswick Cote near Kettlewell. The course gains around 900 m of ascent and includes three steep climbs with descents and views over the Wharfedale valley. The event is listed as a Yorkshire Three Peaks fell race qualifier.
The race course is way marked and support on course includes drinks stations offering water and juice. Facilities at the venue include toilets in the car park and free car parking. A post race meal such as pie or soup is provided, and participants receive Due North merchandise and sponsor goodies.
Entries open on 5 September 2026 and close on 15 June 2027. Entry fees are shown as £40 for UKA or TRA affiliated runners and £42 for unaffiliated runners. The minimum age for entry is 17.
Registration takes place at a tent in the car park. Minimum kit requirements listed for the event include a waterproof jacket, hat and gloves, a cup or bottle because cups are not provided at drink stations, and a mobile phone with a location app downloaded. Prize giving includes awards for first, second and third overall in male and female categories, open and non binary categories, and first in V40, V50, V60 and V70 plus age groups to collect on the day.
