Event

The Kettlewell (Skirfare) Half Marathon is a trail half marathon held on 20 June 2026 as part of the Due North Race Series. The event venue is the car park field at Hawkswick Cote near Kettlewell in the Yorkshire Dales. Entry fees are listed as £35 for UKA members and £37 for non-members. The event is held under UK Athletics rules and is licensed by the TRA. Minimum age for competitors is 17.

Course

The route includes around 900 m of ascent and three steep climbs with corresponding descents. The course uses riverside footpaths, rolling moorland and grassy descents and offers views across the Wharfedale valley. The course is at least partially way marked. Runners pass through Kettlewell village during the route.

Facilities, kit and prizes

On-course provision includes drinks stations with water and juice and toilet facilities in the car park. The event includes a post-race meal (for example pie or soup), a bottle of beer and event merchandise or sponsor goodies. Minimum kit requirements include a waterproof jacket, a cup or bottle for drinks stations and a mobile phone with a location app; these items are mandatory under the race rules.
