Kettlewell Trail Half

The Kettlewell Trail Half is a trail running event located in the Yorkshire Dales. The race starts and finishes at the Carpark Field at Hawkswick Cote. The course covers a half marathon distance and includes approximately 900m of ascent. The route is partially way-marked and features three significant climbs along with various descents.

Participants run through a variety of terrain, including riverside footpaths and rolling moors, offering views of the Wharfedale valley. This event serves as a qualifier for the Yorkshire Three Peaks fell race. Due to the nature of the course and environment, participants must carry specific mandatory kit, including a waterproof jacket, hat, gloves, a mobile phone with a location app, and a reusable cup or bottle as no cups are provided at aid stations.

The event provides several amenities for entrants:

On-site facilities include toilets located within the car park area. Registration takes place in a tent at the race venue on the morning of the event. Runners receive a post-race meal such as pie or soup, a bottle of beer, event merchandise, and items from race sponsors. Free car parking is available at the venue for all participants.
