Kettlewell Trail Half
The Kettlewell Trail Half is a trail half marathon held in Kettlewell in the Yorkshire Dales. The organiser describes it as a challenging race with around 900 m of ascent and three steep climbs, together with steep descents.
The route passes riverside footpaths and rolling moors and offers views of the Wharfedale valley. The course is partially way marked and includes varied terrain typical of fell and trail running.
Event provisions include drinks stations supplying water and juice, a post race meal such as pie or soup, a bottle of beer, Due North merchandise and sponsor goodies. Free car parking is available at the race venue, which is the car park field at Hawkswick Cote.
Minimum kit requirements list a waterproof jacket, hat and gloves, and a personal cup or bottle for use at drink stations. Runners are asked to carry a mobile phone with the race day contact number stored and a location app such as OS Locate. The event is a qualifier for the Yorkshire Three Peaks fell race. Prize categories include 1st to 3rd overall for men and women, open and non-binary awards, and first in veteran age groups from V40 through V70+. Minimum age is 17.
