Event

The Kettlewell (Skirfare) Half Marathon is a half marathon trail race held in Kettlewell, Yorkshire Dales, with the start and finish at the car park field at Hawkswick Cote. The course is licensed by the TRA and is run under UK Athletics rules. Entry fees are listed as £35 for UKA members and £37 for non-members. A discount of up to £10 is available when entering three events in the Due North Half Marathon series. Minimum age is 17.

Race details

The route includes about 900 m of ascent and three steep climbs with corresponding descents. Terrain includes riverside footpaths, rolling moors and grassy descents with views over Wharfedale. The course is way marked - phrased conservatively as partially way marked in entry information.

Included on race day are drinks stations offering water and juice, a post-race meal (examples given include pasta, pie or soup), a bottle of beer, event merchandise and sponsor goodies. Free car parking and toilets are available at the venue. Minimum kit requirements include a waterproof jacket, hat and gloves, a cup or bottle for drinks stations, and a mobile phone with a location app. Prize categories include overall and age-group awards for male, female and non-binary categories.
