Event
The Pen Y Fan Challenge is a trail race on Sunday 26 July 2026 near Pen Y Fan in South Wales (postal code LD3 8NL). The route reaches the Pen Y Fan summit and is offered in two distance options:
- 5 miles
- 13 miles
The event includes chip timing, a signed and marshalled route, a National Trust contribution, a medal and a buff. Water and sweets are provided at the finish of the 5 mile race and at one checkpoint on the 13 mile route.
Logistics
Entries open 27 July 2025 and close 20 July 2026. The minimum age is 16 or older. Entry fees listed in the source are:
- UKA Member - 5 Miles: £22.00
- Non Member - 5 Miles: £24.00
- UKA Member - 13 Miles: £30.00
- Non Member - 13 Miles: £32.00
Included services also list chip timing and posted results. To enter, competitors must log in or register with the SiEntries system. Compulsory kit requirements are specified separately for each distance; examples include a mobile phone and hydration, a foil blanket or bivi bag, snacks, a basic first aid kit and a whistle. The 13 mile entry additionally requires waterproof jacket and trousers, hat or buff, gloves and larger hydration. The event is organised by OTT Events Limited.
