The Beast of Llangattock takes place on Saturday 22 August 2026 at Park Farm, Llangattock (Crickhowell, Powys, NP8 1HT). Distances on offer are:

- 10 miles / 16 km
- 20 miles / 32.5 km
- 32 miles / 51 km
Total ascent by distance is published as: 10 km ~ 1,141 ft; 10 mile ~ 1,723 ft; 20 mile ~ 3,446 ft; 32 mile ~ 4,842 ft. Cut-off times are given as 4 hours for the 10 km and 10 mile, and 14 hours for the 20 mile and 32 mile events. The course is marked and GPX files are available.
Course, support and mandatory kit
The route leaves Park Farm and follows a short section of the Brecon and Monmouthshire Canal, then trails through fields and ancient walkways up to the Llangattock Escarpment. The course passes features including the Lonely Shepherd stone, Clydach Gorge, Craig y Cilau above the cave system, Mynydd Llangattock, rivers, woods and a final canal return into a forest arch. Two well stocked refuel zones plus HQ are provided; 20- and 32-mile runners have three such zones on their loops, and the 10 km has one light refreshment zone. Facilities include toilets, parking (fee applies), refreshments, a full medical team and physio support. Mandatory kit includes waterproof jacket and trousers, race vest/pack, base layer, capacity for 1 litre fluid, emergency food, map or GPX, charged mobile phone, appropriate trail footwear, first aid items, foil blanket and reusable cup; additional items apply for the ultra.
