Pembrokeshire Coast Triathlon
The Pembrokeshire Coast Triathlon is a standard distance triathlon and aquabike held at Broad Haven in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. Distances for the event are:
- 1500 m swim, 42 km bike, 10 km run
- 1500 m swim, 42 km bike (aquabike)
The event hosts Stage 4 of the Welsh Triathlon Super Series, the Welsh Standard Distance Triathlon Championships, and serves as a qualifier for Tîm Tri Cymru. It is organised by Pembrokeshire Triathlon Club and permitted by British Triathlon. The event will be filmed and televised on S4C.
The swim is an open water rectangular course that stays within 200 m of the shoreline. The 42 km bike course includes over 400 m of climbing and uses mainly rural roads with some faster flat sections on the return from Haverfordwest. The run begins with about 3 km along the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, with around 130 m of ascent in total, then returns on quiet country lanes to a finish on the beachfront.
The field is limited to 400 competitors. Relay teams of two or three are permitted. Competitors must be 17 or older on 31 December 2026. Swim and bike time limits apply before progression to the next discipline. Entry fees and inclusions are specified by the organiser. There will be a road closure and temporary traffic management in Broad Haven on the day of the event. Net profits support the local triathlon club and nominated local causes.
