Pembrokeshire Coast Triathlon
The Pembrokeshire Coast Triathlon is a standard distance triathlon and aquabike set at Broad Haven in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. The event includes the Welsh Standard Distance Triathlon Championships, forms Stage 4 of the Welsh Super Series, and is a qualifier for Tîm Tri Cymru. The event will be filmed and televised on S4C and is permitted by British Triathlon.
The event format and distances:
- 1500 m swim, open water sea course within 200 m of the shore
- 42 km bike with over 400 m of climbing on mainly rural roads
- 10 km run including an initial 3 km on the Pembrokeshire Coast Path with about 130 m ascent
The field is limited to 400 competitors. Relay teams of 2 or 3 are accepted and an aquabike option is available. Competitors must be British Triathlon members or purchase a Race Pass. Minimum age is 17 on 31 December 2026. Swim and bike cutoffs apply: swimmers must complete the swim within one hour to start the bike, and cyclists must complete the bike within three hours from their start to progress to the run.
There will be a road closure and temporary traffic management in Broad Haven on race day; roads will be busier than usual during the morning. Net event profit supports Pembrokeshire Triathlon Club and local good causes including Greenacres Animal Rescue, Support the Boardwalk, and the RNLI. Entry fees are stated as £80 for individuals, £90 for relay teams, and £70 for aquabike entries, plus online booking fees. The entry fee includes a Tyvek race number, silicone swim hat, electronic chip timing, finisher medal, prizes, and free electronic event photos.
