Pembrokeshire Coast Triathlon
The Pembrokeshire Coast Triathlon is a standard distance triathlon and aquabike held at Broad Haven in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. The event includes a 1500 m open water sea swim, a 42 km bike ride and a 10 km run, with an aquabike option that omits the run.
The swim uses a rectangular course that stays within 200 m of the shoreline. The bike course covers mainly rural roads, includes over 400 m of climbing, and has some fast flat sections on the return to Broad Haven. The run begins with about 3 km along the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, totaling roughly 130 m of ascent, then returns on quiet country lanes to finish on the beachfront.
The field is limited to 400 competitors. Relay teams of two or three are accepted. Competitors must be 17 or over on 31 December 2027. Entry requires British Triathlon membership with a race licence or the purchase of a Race Pass. Swim and bike time cutoffs apply: the swim must be completed within one hour to start the bike, and the bike must be completed within three hours from the competitor start time to progress to the run.
There will be road closures and temporary traffic management in Broad Haven on the day of the event. The entry fee is inclusive of a Tyvek race number, a silicone swim hat, electronic chip timing, a finisher's medal, prizes and free electronic event photos. The event supports Pembrokeshire Triathlon Club activities and local good causes. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
