Pembrokeshire Coast Triathlon
The event is a standard distance triathlon and an aquabike set at Broad Haven in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. Distances are:
- Standard distance triathlon: 1500 m swim, 42 km bike, 10 km run
- Aquabike: 1500 m swim, 42 km bike
The event hosts the Welsh Standard Distance Triathlon Championships and is Stage 4 of the Welsh Triathlon Super Series. It is a qualifier for Tîm Tri Cymru, will be filmed for television on S4C, and is organised with permission from British Triathlon. Entry requires British Triathlon membership or a Race Pass.
The field is limited to 400 competitors and relay teams of two or three are permitted. The open water swim is a rectangular sea course that stays within 200 m of the shoreline. The bike course covers about 42 km with over 400 m of climbing on mainly rural roads and some faster flat sections. The run starts with about 3 km along the Pembrokeshire Coast Path with roughly 130 m of ascent then returns on quiet country lanes to a finish on the beach front.
Participants must complete the swim within one hour to start the bike and complete the bike within three hours from their start time to access the run course. Minimum age is 17 on 31 December 2026. Entry fees are £80 for individuals, £90 for relay teams, and £70 for aquabike plus booking fee. The entry fee includes a Tyvek race number, a silicone swim hat, electronic chip timing, a finisher medal, prizes, and free electronic event photos. Net profits support Pembrokeshire Triathlon Club and local good causes. There will be a road closure and temporary traffic management in Broad Haven on the day of the event.
