About the race
Pelotonia Gravel Day is a weekend event in southeast Ohio with activities on October 2 and October 3, 2026. The program includes gravel cycling routes, newly added mountain biking routes on the Baileys Trail System, and a Trail Run/Hike held on the Snow Fork Event Center property. Each Gravel Day route has a set capacity and carries a fundraising commitment of $1,500.
Routes and notable route details:
- Gravel cycling routes: 11 miles, 25 miles, 48 miles
- Mountain biking routes: 10 miles, 24 miles
- Trail Run Hike: 3.5 miles
Route characteristics described by the organizer include elevation gains (for example, about 900 feet on the 11 mile gravel loop and over 4,200 feet on the 48 mile route) and trail difficulty ratings for mountain bike segments using IMBA green and blue classifications. The mountain biking routes include machine built trails and are recommended for mountain bikes with off road tires; gravel cycling routes note a recommended minimum tire width of 35 mm for some road bikes. E bikes are permitted only on gravel cycling routes and not on the mountain bike routes; allowed e bikes must have a pedal drive system rather than a throttle.
Routes are supported only during the official Gravel Day weekend and may be adjusted by about two miles for safety or road conditions. The Friday Night Community Gathering and on site camping are part of the weekend experience; some RSVP and camping registration items indicated closed status for this edition.
