The Peer Power Big River Crossing Race is a annual running event in Memphis held on November 14, 2026. The 10th edition brings together runners, walkers, families, and civic partners along the Mississippi River and over the Big River Crossing. Proceeds support Peer Power Foundation and the Success Coaches who provide tutoring and mentoring in Memphis schools.
Distances featured
- Half Marathon : two-state course over Big River Crossing through the Arkansas flood plain and along Dacus Lake.
- 10K : crosses the bridge with downtown Memphis views.
- 5K : route from Martyrs Park through Tom Lee Park and back along the river.
- 1-Mile Fun : family walk and run with shorter distance.
The half marathon begins at Channel 3 Drive and includes the Big River Trail and Dacus Lake landscape before returning to the city. The 10K crosses the bridge while the 5K and one-mile events remain on the riverfront and park areas.
Fundraising and sponsorship are optional parts of the event. Peer-to-peer fundraising pages are available with no minimum requirement. Reported program impacts include more than 10,000 students served, over 2 million hours of tutoring and mentoring, a 3.2 average ACT point increase through ACT Prep University, and 122 Success Coaches across nine schools.
