Pecan Street Brewing 5K Beer Run
The Pecan Street Brewing 5K Beer Run takes place in Johnson City, Texas. This athletic event serves as the sixth race in the Texas 5k 6-Pack Beer Challenge. The route levels are suitable for walkers and the event allows participation with strollers. The course starts and finishes at the Pecan Street Brewing facility, utilizing the local streets of Johnson City. A water station is positioned near the halfway point of the course, operated by volunteers from the Salvation Army of Blanco County.
Participants receive several items as part of their registration:
- 5 km distance
- Official performance fabric race T-shirt
- Custom souvenir pint glass
- Up to four 8-oz. beer tastings for participants aged 21 and over
- Online access to race photographs
Competitive awards are presented to the top overall and master (40 and up) male and female finishers. Custom awards are also provided for the top three male and female finishers across multiple age divisions, ranging from 19 and under to 70 and up. Following the competitive ceremony, a random drawing is held for additional souvenir awards. Food trucks are available on-site for post-race food purchases.
