Pecan Classic 10K and 5K Run/Walk
The 17th Annual Pecan Classic 10K and 5K Run/Walk takes place on Saturday November 7, 2026, at Green Valley Pecan Company in Sahuarita, Arizona. The event includes both a 10 kilometer race and a 5 kilometer run/walk.
- 10 km course on dirt roads through the pecan orchards
- 5 km out and back with a turnaround at the 1.55 mile mark
Features listed for the event include a free T-shirt for preregistered participants by 10/20/26, a pancake breakfast, snacks and water, chip timing, and USATF sanctioning. Awards are planned for overall and masters winners in the 10K, gift certificates for top three overall and masters in both races, and age group awards for the top three finishers in each distance. A 50/50 T-shirt is guaranteed if registration is received by 10/20/26. Entry fees are noted as $40 for all participants and $45 starting 9/22/26.
Course notes indicate the 10K travels dirt roads through pecan orchards and the 5K is baby jogger friendly. Dogs are not allowed on the course. Drinking water on course is limited and water bottles will be available at the start and finish area. The event is one of three in the Orchard Series and benefits the Green Valley Sahuarita Chamber Foundation and the Sahuarita High School Student Council.
