Pecan Classic 10K
The Pecan Classic takes place on November 7, 2026 as part of a three‑event Pecan Orchard Series organized by Farmers Investment CO (FICO). The event offers both a 5K and a 10K run and walk through a pecan orchard in late season when leaves are turning yellow, husks are drying, and pecans are ready for harvest. Temperatures at this time of year can be cool and are noted as suitable for outdoor running activity.
FICO assumed coordination of the series after the longtime Event Director retired in 2023 and continues to support community athletes while directing proceeds to local non profit organizations. Past editions of the runs typically draw between 200 and 300 participants and spectators from surrounding communities.
