Event overview
The 17th Annual Pecan Classic 10K and 5K Run/Walk takes place on November 7, 2026, in Sahuarita, Arizona at Green Valley Pecan Company, 1625 E. Sahuarita Rd., 85629. The event is the final race in the Orchard Series and is one of three races in that series. Distances offered:
- 10K
- 5K
The entry fee is $40 and increases to $45 starting 9/22/26. A free T-shirt is guaranteed for participants who preregister by 10/20/26. The race lists beneficiaries as the Green Valley Sahuarita Chamber Foundation and the Sahuarita High School Student Council. The event is USATF sanctioned and will use chip timing.
Course, awards and amenities
The 10K follows dirt roads through pecan orchards. The 5K is an out-and-back course with a turnaround at the 1.55 mile mark. Dogs are not allowed on the course. The course is baby jogger friendly. Limited drinking water will be available on the course; water bottles will be provided at the start and finish area. Bib pickup begins at 7:15am. Awards include top overall and masters prizes for the 10K, gift certificate awards for top finishers in both races, and age-group awards for the top three in each division.
