Pecan Classic
The Pecan Classic is a fall 5K and 10K run and walk held on November 7, 2026, as part of a three-part orchard run series hosted by Farmers Investment CO. The course runs through pecan trees at a stage when leaves turn yellow, husks begin to dry, and nuts are ready for harvest. Temperatures at this time of year can be cool, which affects conditions on the course.
Farmers Investment CO has coordinated these runs for more than a decade and assumed full hosting responsibilities after the prior Event Director retired in 2023. The series is intended to reflect the changing seasons and stages of pecan growth across three events held at different times of year.
Proceeds from the Pecan Classic are donated to a local nonprofit. The event has a history of annual editions, with past Pecan Classic runs documented in recent years.
