The Peavine Peak Hill Climb is a 9.4-mile running event. The course has a total elevation gain of 3,018 feet.
Course Description
The race starts from Melton Elementary School in Reno, Nevada. Runners begin with half a mile on access roads and neighborhood trails before entering Chalk Canyon. The course then ascends Chalk Canyon on a singletrack trail for 2 miles to the first aid station at the Peavine Road intersection.
From there, the route continues with a steep ascent on a rocky ATV trail along Tower Ridge to the summit of Peavine Peak. After crossing the summit, runners descend for 2.4 miles on the smooth dirt surface of Peavine Road to the second aid station at the top of Chalk Canyon. The final section returns down Chalk Canyon and back to Melton Elementary School.

Packet pickup opens at 6:30 AM on race day. A cutoff time is enforced, with all runners required to be back at Melton Elementary School by 12:00 PM. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
