Peak Raid Race 3 Eastern Moors
Peak Raid Race 3 is a fell running score event held on 15 November 2026 in the Eastern Moors and Burbage Valley area of the Peak District. The race is one of four events in the Peak Raid series, each run over a three hour time limit and using SI timing in a points based format.
Competitors select their own routes between controls shown on a map and aim to collect as many points as possible within the three hour limit. A waterproof map with control descriptions and points values is provided at the start. Points are lost for returning late.
The event supports solo and pairs entries, plus mixed pairs and a parent or guardian with an under 18 junior category. The minimum age for competitors is 14 and age categories are determined by age on 31 December 2026; for pairs the category is based on the oldest competitor. To be eligible for series prizes an entrant must complete at least two races; prizes are normally awarded to first, second and third in each category with reduced awards where entry numbers are small.
Terrain varies between high moorland requiring accurate navigation and more runnable limestone dales with footpaths. Competitors must carry the FRA Mandatory Minimum Kit including waterproof whole body cover with taped seams and attached hood, hat, gloves, map, compass, whistle, emergency food and a survival bag.
