Peak Raid Race 3 Eastern Moors

Peak Raid Race 3 Eastern Moors takes place on 15 November 2026 in the Eastern Moors and Burbage Valley area of the Peak District. The event is the third in a four‑race series that runs across different Peak District locations and uses a score format with a three hour time limit. Competitors receive a waterproof map at the start that includes control descriptions and points values and then choose their own route to visit as many controls as possible.

This is fell running that requires route choice and navigation skills. The series covers a variety of terrain from high moorland to limestone dales with a network of footpaths. The event uses SiTiming. Entrants may compete solo or as a pair; pairs may enter any category and the pair category is determined by the age of the oldest runner. The minimum competitor age is 14 and where one runner is under 18 their partner must be a parent or guardian or an appointed accompanying adult over 21.

All competitors must wear or carry the FRA mandatory minimum kit: waterproof whole body cover with taped seams and attached hood, hat, gloves, map provided at the event, compass, whistle, emergency food and a survival bag. Kit will be checked on the day. Points are lost for lateness. Prizes require completion of at least two races and are awarded by category with specific rules for small fields. Dogs are not allowed.
