Event overview
Ranger Ultras Peak District South & North is a two-day trail ultra in the Peak District on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 November 2025. The route covers the southern White Peak on Day 1 and the northern Dark Peak on Day 2, with terrain that includes tree-lined vales, high moors, plateaus, peaks and gritstone edges. The event starts and finishes in Edale. The minimum age is 20. Entries open 12 November 2023 and close 14 November 2025. Entry fees are listed per option: Stage 1 only £57 unaffiliated / £55 affiliated; Stage 2 only £57 unaffiliated / £55 affiliated; Full race £89 unaffiliated / £87 affiliated.
Race format, support and facilities
There are three participation options:
- Stage 1 - 50 km (total ascent 899 m)
- Stage 2 - 43 km (total ascent 1192 m)
- Full South & North - 93 km
The event provides Ranger Safety Team support at HQ, road head and hill top locations. Navigation notes and a GPX file are provided to entrants. On-course catering includes snacks, fruit, soft drinks and soup; HQ provisions include tea, coffee, pizza and pasta. Finishers receive medals and trophies are awarded for first male and female in each stage and for the full event. Low-cost bunkhouse and camp-bed accommodation options at The Peak Centre, Edale, are available with specified nightly charges and limited spaces.
