Event
The Paws Colinas 5K-9 is a 5K run/walk presented by the Las Colinas Association to benefit Irving Animal Services. It takes place at the Toyota Music Factory in Irving-Las Colinas, TX on October 24, 2026. The course passes through the Las Colinas Urban Center and finishes with a post-race festival on the Toyota Music Factory plaza that includes live music, food and beverage options, and on-site entertainment.
Participation, logistics and rules
The event offers in-person and virtual options and separate entries for:
- Large dogs (25+ lbs)
- Small dogs (under 25 lbs)
- Human-only participants
Registration includes a race bib with timing chip, free professional race photos, dog and human finisher medals, bag check, and one food and one beverage coupon. Street closures and traffic control will be provided by off-duty police officers. A VIP package is available that includes race packet delivery, VIP area access, and reserved seating with food and beverages.
Proof of current rabies vaccination is required for packet pickup and must be provided in advance or brought to pickup. All dogs must be on a standard non-retractable leash, maximum 6 feet. Awards are given for overall top finishers, best dressed dog, and age-group places for both humans and dogs. Packet pickup is scheduled for October 23; location is to be announced.
