About the race
PAWS Against Domestic Violence Pet Walk is presented by Crisis Center North and takes place on October 24, 2026 at North Park Harmar Pavilion on S Ridge Drive in Allison Park, Pennsylvania. The event is held to support the PAWS program and to mark the start of Domestic Violence Awareness month. One hundred percent of proceeds from the event are directed to the PAWS program. Registration offers several categories with fees ranging from free for children under three to paid options up to $50, and includes both in-person and virtual participation.
Higher-tier registrations labeled VIP include a swag bag, a pet walk T-shirt, donuts, coffee and post-walk snacks, and vouchers for pet games. General walker and pet registrations include donuts, coffee, post-walk snacks, and vouchers but do not include a swag bag or guaranteed T-shirt; extra T-shirts may be available for purchase at the event. General walker only registrations cover an individual without a pet and include refreshments.
Minor registrations include accompaniment with an adult and age-appropriate refreshments. A virtual registration option allows participants to walk or run with their pet on behalf of the organization and to share the activity with the hashtag #PAWSAgainstDV. There are discounted staff registration categories with similar benefits for Crisis Center North staff. The PAWS program supports victims through animal assisted therapy, courtroom accompaniment for PFA hearings, education for veterinarians and animal service providers, and emergency animal care stipends.
