Event Overview
The Paw Prints PetFest & 5K is a running and walking event supporting animal welfare. The timed 5K course is off-road and winds through a wooded trail in Smithville Park. Participants can choose to run or walk the distance.
Event Format
There are four registration categories:
- 5K Run (Adult)
- 5K Run (Youth)
- 5K Walk
- Virtual Run
Participants have the option to run or walk with their leashed dog or with a cat in a stroller. The start is staggered, with individual runners beginning first, followed by runners with dogs, and then walkers.
Festival Activities
The event includes a larger festival with activities such as food trucks, a band, a beverage garden, and a raffle basket tent. All registrants receive a standard cotton event shirt.
Beneficiary
Proceeds from the event benefit the Friends of the Burlington County Animal Shelter. Funds help support advanced medical care for shelter animals, trap-neuter-vaccinate-return (TNVR) programs, behavioral training, foster care, and a surrender diversion program.
