Pineland Striders Boxing Day 5K
The event at Signal Hill Elementary School in Voorhees, NJ includes a USATF sanctioned, chip timed 5K and a separate free Kids' Fun Run of about 0.25 miles. The 5K course is not USATF certified, has some hills with about 150 feet of elevation gain, and follows residential roads with a very small flat grass section off road. The roads are not closed to traffic; the course will be marked with cones and chalk arrows and volunteers will be stationed at tricky turns. No on-course hydration will be provided. Wheelchairs and strollers are permitted; dogs are not permitted. The 5K has about a 90 minute time cutoff.

The free Kids' Fun Run is open to runners under 10 years old, follows a short route next to the school parking lot, will have course marshals for traffic safety, is not timed, and participants will receive a bib and finisher's medal plus some goodies. The 5K includes a swag item for participants. Awards for the 5K will be given to first place male, female, and non binary finishers, with age group awards for the first three finishers in these groups: under 15, 15 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, 70 and older.
Proceeds from the event will be donated to Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge. The event is scheduled to be held rain or shine but may be canceled for significant snowfall; in that case registered participants will receive their race swag and organizers will attempt deferral or discount options.
