Paul Thurston 5K

The Paul Thurston 5K takes place on May 24, 2026 in Washington, DC at 4870 Colorado Ave NW, near Rock Creek Park. The event is a 5-kilometre out and back course on paved surfaces through Rock Creek Park.

The event honors one of the club's founders and observes Memorial Day traditions; participants are encouraged to wear red, white, and blue. The race is part of the DCRRC Bunion Derby Series.

Registration is free for club members and costs $10 for nonmembers. Registration opens March 23 and closes May 23; members see the $10 discount applied at checkout.
